Support

Business Support
An important contribution to quality radio is made by foundations, corporations, and individuals who provide funds to underwrite the presentation of a program or series of programs broadcast on Public Radio 90. Underwriting enables you to support an important community service as well as advertise your business to people in the Upper Peninsula and northeastern Wisconsin. Click here for more information about how your business or organization can support Public Radio 90 or call Tammy Wixtrom Johnson at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email twixtrom@nmu.edu

Gifts of Stock
You can donate your appreciated stock to Public Radio 90 to support our programming. By using this method to support WNMU-FM, you can receive a tax deduction and avoid paying a capital gains tax. For more information about donating your stock, call Tammy Wixtrom Johnson at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email at twixtrom@nmu.edu.

Legacy Gifts
By naming WNMU-FM, Public Radio 90 in your will or trust, you’ll help sustain the valuable community service that Public Radio 90 is today and help ensure that future generations can enjoy and cherish all that local public radio has to offer. If you have already included Public Radio 90 in your will or overall estate plans, thank you, and please let us know. Click here to learn more about Legacy Gifts and how in some cases you can receive income for life as well as tax benefits. For more information, call Tammy Wixtrom Johnson at WNMU-FM at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email twixtrom@nmu.edu.

Matching Gifts
Many companies set aside special funds each year to match contributions their employees make to qualified non-profit organizations. Northern Michigan University and Public Radio 90 are both qualified organizations. Most often, the companies match contributions dollar for dollar, but matching guidelines can vary. Employer matching gifts increase the impact of your personal support and mean more resources for the Public Radio 90 programs you enjoy. Click here for more information about matching gifts and to view a list of frequently asked questions or use the below search box to see if your company will match your donation. If you have questions about whether or not your gift qualifies to be matched, call Sarah Stanley at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email Sarah at sastanle@nmu.edu.

Pledge
To continue our service of bringing quality radio programs to the Upper Peninsula, Public Radio 90 needs support from listeners like you. Pledging money to the station is an easy way to keep your favorites on the air. Our on-air pledge drives are not the only times you are able to pledge. We are always accepting pledges by phone at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., by mail at WNMU-FM, Public Radio 90, 1401 Presque Isle Ave, Marquette, MI 49855, or through our secure web site. Click here to pledge online!

Sustaining Membership
Sustaining memberships are a special way to pledge to Public Radio 90. All you do is designate an amount to be withdrawn from your checking, savings, or credit card account and decide how often—monthly, quarterly, or annually, for example. Your contribution is then electronically deposited into our WNMU-FM account. Click here for more information about Sustaining Memberships and for a downloadable authorization form to get you started, or call Sarah Stanley at (800) 227-WNMU Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also e-mail Sarah at sastanle@nmu.edu.

Vehicle Donation
Do you have a vehicle, trailer, boat, or camper that you are thinking about selling or donating? Public Radio 90 can take it off your hands. An auction service will sell the vehicle at no cost to us. Whatever the car sells for, minus the cost of the auction fees, is given directly to Public Radio 90. To donate a vehicle call (866) WNMU-CAR (866-966-8227) or use our online donation form. If you have more questions, please check out our Vehicle Donation FAQ.

Volunteer
Volunteers are a great resource at Public Radio 90. You can make a difference by sharing your time and talent and providing services that save the station money that can be used towards programming instead. Volunteers answer phones during membership campaigns, help with data entry, stuffing envelopes, and several other valued services. Call us Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (800) 227-WNMU to find out about upcoming volunteer opportunities and information about how you can volunteer your time, or send an email to Tammy Wixtrom Johnson any time to twixtrom@nmu.edu.
