Woman pinned by ATV uninjured

WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI--   An Indiana woman has been found safe, after she was reported missing from a Marquette County camp.

The Sheriff’s Office says Diane Knepper, 66, of Bristol, Indiana went for an ATV ride Monday from the camp on County Road SZ in Wells Township.  When she didn’t return after several hours her husband notified authorities and initiated a search.

Around 9:25 p.m. Kenneth Knepper found his wife pinned by the ATV in a swampy area east of camp.  She was cold and wet, but otherwise unharmed.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
