UPSET drug bust nets Rapid River suspect

RAPID RIVER, MI--   A Rapid River man has been arrested on drug charges.

Tuesday, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team took the 60-year-old man into custody on two counts of delivery of cocaine and one count of conspiracy to deliver cocaine.

The incident is part of the same three-month investigation that resulted in the May 23rd arrest of a 62-year-old Kent County man in Rapid River for possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

The Delta County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case for additional charges and further arrests.

UPSET was assisted with the investigation by the Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team and the Delta County Sheriff’s Department.
