UPSET arrests Ontonagon man on meth charges

ONTONAGON, MI--   An Ontonagon man is jailed for delivering meth.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested the 43-year-old suspect Tuesday on a three-count warrant for delivery of methamphetamine.

Officials say the arrest is the result of a six-month investigation by UPSET, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department, and Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post.

The name of the suspect is not being released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and is still under review by the Ontonagon County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
