ISHPEMING, MI--    Two men have been found dead at a residence in Ishpeming.

City Police were dispatched Wednesday around 1:20 p.m. to a house on the 400 block of North Maple Street on a report that two people were down and not breathing.  Officers found a 35-year-old man outside in the yard and a 24-year-old man in the living room.  Both were unresponsive.

CPR was administered to both men, without success.  They were declared dead at the scene.

Police say the 24-year-old was living at the house.  The 35-year-old was from Marquette.

Officers say the incident appears to be drug-related.  The incident remains under investigation.

Michigan State Police and the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
