Three U.P. universities part of voter registration drive

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Michigan Secretary of State’s Office is bringing its mobile branch office to the Upper Peninsula this week to register voters.

The three stops are part of an 18-campus ExpressSOS Voter Registration Drive. 

Monday the van will be at Michigan Technological University from noon to 4 p.m. at the Memorial Union Building.

Wednesday the mobile office will stop at Northern Michigan University.  It will register voters from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Academic Mall.

On Thursday the van will be at Lake Superior State University’s Walker Cisler Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
