Stolen car hits house in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette Police Department is looking for a suspect in a stolen vehicle case.

Officers say Friday morning around 12:20 they were notified that a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a house on the 600 block of Union Street. Investigation revealed the vehicle had just been stolen from a nearby residence.

The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival and is still at large.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident is asked to call Marquette Police at 228-0400. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
