Serious injuries reported in Little Lake drunk driving accident

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--   Three people were injured in a rollover crash in Forsyth Township Saturday.

Officers were patrolling M-35 near County Road 456 in Little Lake around 5 a.m. when they saw a westbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle left the roadway, went airborne, and rolled multiple times, landing on its wheels.

Officers removed a male driver and two female passengers from the vehicle. They determined the driver—Tylor Howard, 25—had been operating under the influence.

All three were taken to UPHS Marquette for treatment. One woman remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

Howard is charged with two counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury and one count of resisting/obstructing an officer.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
