Marquette, MI - A Rumley man will go to trail on charges related to holding a Cooks woman against her will for several days in July. Eric Ruska, 37, faces three counts of aggravated sexual abuse and one count of kidnapping, all felonies, following a pre-trial hearing Monday.
According to court records, Ruska took a co-worker out fishing on Chicago Lake on July 8th. He kidnapped her and threatened her and her family.
Ruska was arrested at a Munising gas station after a five-day manhunt.
Authorities say the fact that Ruska used a cell phone to contact the victim - and because he drove through a National Forest - prompted the federal charge. He faces up to life in prison, if convicted.
