FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--   A pregnant Gwinn woman was taken to the hospital, following a rollover crash on Kelly Johnson Road.

Monday around 11:35 p.m. Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the site a mile east of M-553. They say a 20-year-old woman was driving a Dodge Caliber when she lost control on the icy road. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times.

The driver was taken to UPHS-Marquette for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

She was cited for speeding.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
