Police arrest man for crashing, leaving truck in Powell Township

POWELL TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Marquette man has been arrested in connection with a single-vehicle rollover accident in Powell Township.

State Police from the Negaunee Post say Monday around 10:30 p.m. troopers responded to the accident in the area of Dam Road and Lighthouse Road. They found a Dodge Ram pickup truck rolled onto its roof with extensive damage. The vehicle was left unoccupied at the scene of the crash.

Investigation led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Marquette man for operating while intoxicated, failure to report a personal injury accident, and careless driving.

Troopers were assisted by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.
