ISHPEMING, MI-- The Ishpeming Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a 22-year-old woman.
Chloe Shumate is a person of interest in a serious assault that happened Sunday around 7 a.m. at the Wonderland Motel on Palms Avenue.
The 36-year-old victim was taken to UPHS-Bell for treatment. Shumate fled the scene before officers arrived. A Michigan State Police K-9 tried to track Shumate but was unsuccessful.
Anyone with knowledge of Shumate’s whereabouts is asked to call Ishpeming Police at 486-4416.
