ORV trail open house to be held in Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, MI--   The Department of Natural Resources is holding an open house in the Eastern U.P. next week to get public comment on an ORV trail.

The proposed route would connect Moran, Detour, and neighboring communities. DNR officials say it would use a variety of national forest, county, and state highways and state forest roads, totaling more than 100 miles.

The public meeting will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Clark Township Hall in Cedarville.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
