Open house slated for Little Presque Isle trails

mymichigantrips.com

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Department of Natural Resources is holding an open house to discuss its recommendations for non-motorized trails at Little Presque Isle in Marquette County.

DNR staff will give a presentation on the trail plan and describe the decision process.  Officials say the DNR may potentially redesign some trails or alter types of permitted trail uses to address resource protection concerns and desires for expanded recreation opportunities.

The open house takes place Tuesday, September 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Marquette Township Community Center.

Written comments on the recommendations will be accepted for 30 days after the open house.
