BRUCE CROSSING, MI-- A Ewen man has been taken into custody for an alleged shooting in Ontonagon County.
Monday around 12:40 p.m. the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possible discharge of a firearm near the Bruce Crossing Medical Clinic. Witnesses say they saw three people running from a residence. Investigation revealed a 29-year-old Ewen man fled the scene after firing a gun.
After searching the area throughout the day deputies located the suspect near a home in Ewen and placed him under arrest. He is currently lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail on an unrelated warrant.
The incident remains under investigation.
