FORD RIVER TOWNSHIP - Delta County law enforcement agencies are investigating a a possible meth lab. Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team say they were asked to assist the Delta County Sheriff’s department with the possible lab. Sheriff’s deputies had been called to the Ford River Township residence on a well-being check. Once at the residence, deputies gained information about a “one pot” meth lab. UPSET and County Sheriff’s deputies acquired and executed a search warrant and discovered the lab including a “one pot” cook and other components for the manufacture of methamphetamine. UPSET detectives transported the hazardous waste to an approved holding site. A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on unrelated charges. A report is being forwarded to the Delta County Prosecutor’s office for review and possible further charges.
