Marquette suspect arrested for breaking into home

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man is jailed, following a suspected home invasion on Wednesday.

City Police were called to 1955 Freedom Drive around 4:20 p.m. and were told a man fled the scene in a rusty Ford Explorer that was driven by a female.  An officer was able to stop the vehicle and identified a 33-year-old passenger as the suspect.

The man was arrested and lodged in the Marquette County Jail for possession of prescription drugs and outstanding warrants.  Officials are also seeking home invasion charges. 

The woman was released. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
