MARQUETTE, MI-- A Marquette rehabilitation project has won a state award.
The transformation of the former Holy Family Orphanage into Grandview Marquette Apartments has garnered a 2018 Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation. The honor is given to projects that reflect a commitment to the preservation of Michigan’s unique character, its archaeological sites, and the historic structures that document the state’s rich past.
Receiving the award will be Home Renewal Systems, LLC; Community Action Alger Marquette; Barry J. Polzin Architects, Inc.; Wolverine Building Group; North Coast Community Consultants, LLC; and Scheuren & Associates, LLC.
An awards ceremony will be held May 1 at the Michigan Capitol.
