Kelly Cochran sentenced for husband's murder

HOBART, INDIANA--   A former Iron River woman serving life in jail for the murder of Christopher Regan in 2014 has been sentenced to another 65 years for her husband’s death in Indiana.

Kelly Cochran admitted to injecting her husband Jason with heroin, then suffocating him at their home in 2016. She said it was in retaliation for Regan’s death.

Cochran was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in May of 2017 for Regan’s shooting and dismemberment. She led police to his remains in the woods.

Cochran was sentenced for Jason Cochran’s murder Wednesday in Hobart, Indiana.

Police believe Cochran may be involved in the deaths of nine other individuals.

Investigation Discovery will air a documentary on what it calls Cochran’s “Fargo-like tale” May 28 and 29 from 9 to 11 p.m., Eastern Time.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
