MARQUETTE, MI-- Marquette Police have arrested an Ishpeming man for stealing from a union fund.
Steven Harvala, 49, was arrested on one count of embezzlement between $1,000 and $20,000. Officials say the money was taken from a local union training fund.
Harvala was released on a personal recognizance bond pending his arraignment Tuesday in Marquette County District Court. He faces up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000 or three times the amount embezzled—whichever is greater.
