IRON RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI-- An Iron County man has been killed in a motorcycle accident.
State Police from the Iron Mountain post say the crash happened Sunday around 9:15 p.m. on Gibb City Road near Powell Mill Road in Iron River Township.
They say Gary Sarafini, 48, of Iron River was driving southbound on his motorcycle when it left the roadway and ejected him. Sarafini was pronounced dead at the scene by the Iron County Medical Examiner.
Troopers say alcohol use and excessive speed are believed to be factors in the accident. Sarafini was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
