ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT AMBULANCE MAINTENANCE MILLAGE

 

 

Shall the Tax Rate Limitation for the County of Iron General Ad Valorem taxes be increased by .15 mills ($.015 per thousand dollars of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, inclusive, with the taxes so raised to be exclusively used to maintain Advanced Life Support Ambulance service throughout the County of Iron and for no other purpose?  This levy would raise an estimated $73,515 in the first year.

IRON COUNTY ROAD MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL

 

 

Shall there be a one-half (0.5) mill levy ($0.50 per $1,000 of the taxable value) on taxable property in Iron County for the next four (4) years (2017-2020) for the purpose of maintenance, repair and reconstruction of all public streets, avenues and road in Iron County?

The revenue derived from the ltax levy shall be allocated pursuant to a Revenue sharing agreement entered into between the Iron County Road Commission and the cities of Caspian, Crystal Falls, Gaastra, Iron River and the Village of Alpha, wherein the cities of Caspian, Crystal Falls, Gaastra, Iron River and the Village of Alpha will retain the revenues collected from any countywide road millage approved by the voters of Iron County equal to the amount of revenue collected within that city's/village's limit.  The Iron County Road Commission will receive an amount of the revenue collected from any countywide road millage approved by the voters of Iron County equal to the amount of revenue collected from the unincorporated areas of Iron County.

It is estimated that the revenue generated on this proposal will be $243,355.10 in the first of the levy.

This is a millage renewal.

WINDSOR CENTER MILLAGE PROPOSAL

 

 

"Shall Stambaugh Township, Iron River township, Bates Township and the City of Iron River impose an ad valorem property tax increase, as authorized by Public Act 231 of 2000, MCL 123.1131. et seq. of .5 mills ($.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) levied from 2017 through 2018, inclusive, to be disbursed exclusive to the Windsor Recreation Authority for the purpose of operating, maintaining and/or improving the public auditorium and other recreational facilities for the benefit of adult and youth recreation programs at The Windsor Center, 612 W. Adams Street, Iron River MI, raising an estamated $24,724 in Bates township, $27,288 in Iron River Township, 445,173 in Stambaugh Township, and $25,780 in the City of Iron River in the first the millage is authorized and levied?"  (THIS BEING A RENEWAL OF THE 1/2 MILL (.50) WHICH WILL EXPIRE WITH THE 2016 TAX LEVY.)
