Information sought in Marquette Township pole damage

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information on who may have damaged three telephone poles in Marquette Township.

Officials say the incident happened the morning of December 22 on County Road 550, just south of Harlow Lake Road.  They say a northbound vehicle hit three utility poles.  Two are owned by Alger/Delta Power Company and one is believed to be owned by AT&T.

Deputies say damage to the poles is extensive. They believe the vehicle that hit them may have been either a logging truck or logging truck trailer. Evidence indicates the vehicle or trailer is black in color.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office at 225-8434.
