LANSING, MI-- The Michigan Public Service Commission has issued a new consumer tips sheet on selecting a propane provider.
The sheet includes pricing agreements, delivery arrangements, fees and other charges, contracts, and other topics.
A shortage of propane last winter created supply problems and instances of price gouging for many Michigan consumers. MPSC Chairman John Quackenbush says the tip sheet provides useful information before the coming heating season even begins.
Propane prices are not regulated. Michigan residential customers use more propane than any other state.
The tip sheet is available at http://www.michigan.gov/documents/mpsc/mpsc-selecting-propane_464669_7.pdf.
