MARQUETTE, MI-- There’s a shortage of green city garbage bags in Marquette.
The city’s solid waste hauler is experiencing difficulties obtaining the bags from the supplier. An additional supply of the bags was ordered weeks ago, but has now been placed on backorder. They’re scheduled to be delivered the week of September 18.
For those who need them, a limited supply of green bags is available at the Waste Management office at 910 West Baraga Avenue. City officials will let residents know when the new shipment arrives.
