Gas prices up

DEARBORN, MI (AP)--   Triple A Michigan reports gas prices statewide have gone up by about 7 cents in the past week, increasing for the third week in a row.

The Dearborn-based auto club says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was $2.56 on Sunday. That's about $1.12 less than a year ago.

AAA Michigan surveys daily fuel costs at 2,800 gas stations in the state. The club says the lowest price was about $2.49 per gallon in the Marquette area, and the highest price was about $2.63 a gallon in the Lansing/East Lansing area.
