Forsyth Township snowmobile crash injures one

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--   A snowmobile driver was injured in a Forsyth Township crash over the weekend.

Township Police say it happened Saturday around 2:15 p.m. on Trail #32. The driver was unable to navigate a sharp left turn on the icy trail. The snowmobile left the trail, dropped down into a ditch, and struck the other side of the ditch, ejecting the driver. The driver struck several small trees before landing.

They were transported by Forsyth Township Police and Fire personnel to an ambulance, then taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
