Escanaba robbery suspect back in court next week

ESCANABA, MI--   Preliminary hearings are set for two people arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Escanaba Sunday morning.  

Marc Allen Grove, 19, of Escanaba was arrested after he allegedly walked into the Admiral gas station with a hunting knife and demanded money.  The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. 

A police dog tracked the suspect to a house on 16th Street.  Grove was located in the residence.  He’s charged with armed robbery and possession of a controlled substance.

Also arrested was Courtney Marie Gartland, 21, for one count of making a false statement to police investigating a serious felony.

Preliminary exams for Grove and Gartland are set for January 31 in Delta County District Court.

Dakota James Sebeck, 20, of Escanaba was also arrested in connection with the robbery.  He was not arraigned on any charges and was released. 

The case remains under investigation.
