Escanaba Fire department to receive federal grant funds

ESCANABA, MI -

The Escanaba Fire department will receive a Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters grant program. The department will receive $8,835 to help fund professional training programs, update equipment and facilities, and provide new supplies to help first-responders handle hazards efficiently and effectively.

U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin announced the competitive grants Saturday.
