LANSING, MI-- The state Department of Environmental Quality has approved revisions for Eagle Mine's groundwater discharge permit in Marquette County.
The changes were made in response to public comment about the permit, which provides conditions to safeguard surface water and groundwater near the mine.
Revisions include the addition of wastewater sampling before treatment and provisions to investigate and address elevated vanadium concentrates.
