Dickinson County prostitution trial set for November

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Trial is scheduled later this year for a Kingsford man charged with prostitution.

Johnathan Vyvyan is accused of transporting women to an Iron Mountain’ man’s home for sexual purposes last August.  He allegedly placed ads in Craigslist for men who were interested in massages, then received a cut of money received for each encounter. 

Vyvyan is charged with human trafficking—obtaining the work of a minor by force; human trafficking—recruiting a minor for child sexually abusive activity; prostitution; and failure to comply with the sex offender registration act.

Trial is set for November 10 through 13 in Dickinson County Circuit Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
