DELTA COUNTY, MI-- A Menominee woman has been killed in a motorcycle accident in Delta County.
The Sheriff’s office says the crash happened Sunday on US-2 near Y.25 Road. The rider was westbound when she lost control of her motorcycle and became separated from it. The victim was not wearing a helmet and sustained severe head injuries. She was airlifted to UPHS-Marquette, where she later died.
Masonville EMTs, the National Forest Service, Ensign Fire, and Valley Med Flight assisted at the scene.
