Corwin sentenced for CSC with minors

MANISTIQUE, MI--   A Manistique man has been sentenced on criminal sexual conduct charges.  

Daniel Corwin, 47, was originally charged with four counts of first-degree CSC and one count of second-degree CSC, among other charges.  He pleaded guilty in December to one count of first-degree CSC and one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. 

Thursday Corwin was given 10 to 25 years for the first charge and 85 to 180 months for the second.  The other charges were dropped.

Corwin was arrested for having sex with two minors between the ages of 13 and 15 between 2003 and 2011. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
