City tells some Marquette residents to keep letting it run

MARQUETTE, MI--   Officials with the City of Marquette are asking residents who were advised to let their water run this winter to keep their faucets open.

Deep frost levels prompted officials to issue the advisory to prevent water lines from freezing.  They say although the air temperature is warming, the ground remains frozen and needs time to thaw before the threat of frozen pipes disappears.

The city will notify those residents when the let-run advisory is lifted.
