Break found in Rockland Township water main

ROCKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI--   Water may be coming back soon for residents in Ontonagon County’s Rockland Township.

About 150 households have been without running water since early Saturday morning, when a water main break emptied the township’s 200,000-gallon water tank.

Officials say they’ve located the leak and will work to refill the tank Wednesday.  They note, however, that some residents may have to wait up to two more days for full restoration.

A boil advisory is in effect for the township until further notice.
