Body of missing man found

Powell Township, MI - The body of a missing L’Anse man has been found. State Police say a camper came across a body early this morning in Powell Township about 7 miles north of the intersection of Northwestern Road and ‘Triple A’ Road. The body is believed to be that of 33-year old Joseph Waisanen. He was found about 5-miles from where his truck had been found on April 18th. No foul play is suspected. The cause of death and positive identification is yet to be determined by the Medical Examiner at UP Health System Marquette. Troopers were assisted by Powell Township Fire and Ambulance. State Police are extending their thanks to everyone who help in the search for Mr. Waisanen.
