MARQUETTE, MI-- The Marquette City Police Department is investigating a likely suicide near Bothwell Middle School.
Sunday around 2:20 p.m. officers were dispatched on a report of a deceased subject in the woods near the school. The body was discovered by people hiking in the area.
Police say the 21-year-old Marquette County man died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigation has found no indication of any current connection or threat to the school.
