Arrests made in recent Ishpeming meth bust

  Ishpeming, MI - Arrests have been made in an Ishpeming methamphetamine bust, which happened Wednesday.

The Ishpeming police department has arrested 37-year-old Thomas Damien Swick and 26-year old Tiffany Lauren Rushton.

Nobody was at the apartment when police arrived with a search warrant. Police seized several meth components from the apartment, and later arrested Swick and Rushton who lived there.

The Marquette County Prosecutors office charges Swick with two counts of felony controlled substance – operating / maintaining a laboratory involving methamphetamine. Rushton is charged with one count of the same.

The two suspects were arraigned Thursday in the 96th district court. Bond has been set at 10% of $250,000 on each count.

The charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
