BOIS BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI (AP)-- The Coast Guard says a 50-year-old man has died while scuba diving off Bois Blanc Island in northern Lake Huron.
The island is part of Mackinac County's Bois Blanc Township.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher Yaw says the man was about 15 minutes into his dive Sunday afternoon when he got in trouble. He was about 160 feet below the surface.
Yaw says the man's crew brought him to the surface, unconscious and barely breathing. The man then went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.
The man's name and the nature of the problem weren't immediately reported.
