WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI— A logging truck caught on fire in Wells Township Monday.
The Escanaba Department of Public Safety was dispatched around 4:43 p.m. to US-2/41 just east of I Road. Officers found the cab of the truck engulfed in flames.
Crews extinguished the fire before the flames reached the full load of wood.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Public Safety was assisted by the Ford River Township Fire Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Gene’s Towing, and Delta County Central Dispatch.
