Event Description

The Peter White Public Library Invites film fans to a free screening of the 2008 modern classic Milk on Thursday, February 15 at 6:30 pm in the library’s community room. Using flashbacks and archival footing, this biographical drama follows Harvey Milk’s life as a gay rights activist from his 40th birthday until his death. Starring Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Emile Hirsch, this movie is rated R and runs 2 hours 8 minutes. It won two Oscars: one for best original screen play and one for best actor in a leading role.
