IRON RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI-- A hunter is being treated for exposure after he became lost and spent the night outside in Iron River Township.
Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post say Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. Francis Nenning, 69, of Iron River called them on his cell phone. He said he’d left his camp Monday and couldn’t find his way back. Officials say he was exhibiting symptoms of cold exposure.
A trooper went into the woods in the area Nenning described. He then forded three creeks and the Iron River before he found Nenning about two miles from his camp.
