ST. IGNACE, MI--   A Curtis man has pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash last May.

Andrew Loehr, 26, and a passenger were riding a motorcycle down Sandtown Road in Portage Township when he hit a vehicle. His passenger, Stephanie Maynard, 32, of Gould City, was killed in the crash.

Loehr was charged with operating while intoxicated, causing death and being a habitual offender, 3rd offense. He pleaded guilty Monday to operating while intoxicated, causing death.

Sentencing is set for December 8 in Mackinac County Circuit Court.

ST. IGNACE, MI--   A Curtis man has been arrested in connection with a fatal Mackinac County motorcycle accident.  

Andrew Loehr, 26, was driving the motorcycle on Sandtown Road in Portage Township May 23 when he struck a vehicle that was turning into a driveway. His passenger, Stephanie Maynard, 32, of Gould City, was killed in the crash. The driver of the vehicle wasn’t injured.

Loehr has been charged with operating while intoxicated, causing death and being a habitual offender, 3rd offense.

BLANEY PARK, MI--   A Mackinac County man is being blamed for causing a two-vehicle accident in Schoolcraft County.  

The crash happened Saturday around 12:15 p.m. on M-77 in Blaney Park.  State Police from the St. Ignace Post say Pamela Jones, 71, of Atlanta, Michigan was driving northbound at 55 miles per hour when she was rear-ended by another vehicle driven at a high rate of speed by a 61-year-old Curtis man.  Both vehicles went out of control and into the ditch. 

The drivers were taken to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

CURTIS, MI--   A Mackinac County woman is jailed after police found her locked in her own car...  which contained stolen items.  

Troopers from the St. Ignace Post say a breaking and entering was reported Monday around 7:35 a.m. at Chamberlin’s Ole Forest Inn in Portage Township.  Investigation revealed a 42-year-old Curtis woman entered the inn and took numerous items.
