Women's Center asks men to help end domestic violence

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette Women’s Center is kicking off a new project this week to help end domestic violence.

The 100 Good Men Campaign acknowledges that men have a crucial role to play in the movement to end violence against women and girls.  Women’s Center Executive Director Beth Casady says by advocating for violence prevention at the community level, local men can become part of the solution.  She’s hoping 100 or more men will donate $100 or more to the Women’s Center and become part of an engaged donor base.  Those who donate at that level will have their names shared on the Women’s Center website, on its Facebook page and in the local media, unless they choose to remain anonymous.  They will also be entered to win various prizes.

The donations will be used to help women with services like counseling, legal help, and safe shelter.

The 100 Good Men Campaign starts Thursday and runs through July 23.

For more information go to the Women’s Center website, mqtwc.org
