Women visiting the U.P. reported missing

NEGAUNEE, MI--   Police are looking for two women reported missing after they visited family in Ishpeming but never arrived at their Mackinaw City hotel. 

Leslie Roy, 52, and Lee Wright, 56, were last seen in Ishpeming April 10 around 7:30 p.m.  They were scheduled to stay at the Hamilton Inn the next day but never arrived.  Their final destination was supposed to be Kalamazoo.

Roy and Wright talked about visiting waterfalls and possibly stopping at some casinos.  They were traveling in a 2010 white Ford Explorer with possible Nebraska plates TVC973 or TTM081.

Anyone with information regarding the women’s whereabouts is asked to call State Police at the Negaunee Post at 475-9922. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
