Woman may have been abducted in Marquette Township

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible abduction in Marquette Township.

The incident was reported by a witness around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon in the area of Venture Drive and Wright Street near the North Star Academy.  Two men were believed to be forcing a woman into a vehicle.

The alleged victim is a white, 5'7", 150-pound woman in her 20s with dirty blond hair just past her shoulders. She was wearing a white tank top with a black design on the back, blue jean shorts, and blue sneakers. She had on bright blue nail polish.

Officers are looking for two male subjects. One is white or Native American with buzz-cut black hair. He's in his 30s, between 6'0" and 6'2", and has a fit build. He was wearing a black hoodie with the sleeves removed, blue--possibly denim--shorts, and white sneakers. The second man is in his 30s and has dark brown shaggy hair past his ears.

They were driving a dark blue, early-to-mid-2000s model Ford sedan, possibly a Taurus. The driver's side rear tire has a black rim, and is possibly a donut tire.

Anyone who sees the subjects or vehicle is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 225-8470. Deputies say they have not yet received a missing person complaint.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
