Woman arrested for breaking into Ishpeming home

ISHPEMING, MI--   Michigan State Police are investigating a home invasion in Ishpeming.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post were called Thursday around 3:20 a.m. to the Sunnyside Estates Mobile Home Park on a report that a man and woman had entered one of the residences. 

A 20-year-old female was arrested shortly after troopers arrived.  A male suspect fled the scene before they got to the residence.  Investigation into the identity of the man is ongoing.

The female suspect is lodged at the Marquette County Jail, pending arraignment. 

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Ishpeming Police Department.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
