Wisconsin man's vehicle found in Ironwood caves

UPDATE, 7/29/14, 7:42 a.m.--  Police say the man who was found is Duane R. Jussila, 74, of Hurley.  He was reported missing July 5.

IRONWOOD, MI--   A missing Hurley, Wisconsin man has been found in a Michigan community. 

The Ironwood Public Safety Department says the man’s vehicle was found Sunday by a Hurley officer in the caves near Alfred Wright Boulevard in Ironwood.  It was submerged in ten feet of water. 

Wisconsin officers were able to identify the vehicle with assistance from Ironwood Public Safety, the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department, and Michigan State Police.  It was then extricated from the water. 

The man’s name has not yet been released, pending notification of family members.
