WI shooting suspect identified

EAGLE RIVER, WI (AP)--   Police have identified the young man who was fatally shot in Eagle River over the weekend. 

Authorities say Connor Stephens, 20, of Conover was shot in the chest around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. Stephens was taken to Ascension Eagle River Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested Jeremiah Solis, 19, of Eagle River for homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon. He was lodged in the Vilas County Jail, but is now free on a $20,000 signature bond.
