WI DNR wants hunter input

MADISON, WI (AP)--   The state Department of Natural Resources is urging bow hunters to report their wildlife observations online.

The archery and crossbow deer seasons open on Saturday. The DNR is asking hunters to record all of their hunting activity and wildlife observations in a survey available on the agency's website.

DNR officials say the information provides insights into the abundance of many wildlife species and the level hunting activity.

The survey period ends in January.

The agency is also seeking trail camera photos to post in an online gallery.
